customer using 500v1 two PRI trunks, during the past year, it reach about 10000 calls per date. Each call takes less than 30s. Estimate the number of incoming call increase to 20000 calls per date. is there any document indicate the system can handle such call traffic? or i need to do the erlang stuffs.

:) Bit late to be asking if you're already at 10,000 calls per day. Still sounds like the system is doing fine.

The maximum tested call capacity for the IP500 is 36,000 calls per hour so you have a good bit of elbow room.

What would help us would be a bit more detail on the system (number of trunks, VCM channels, extensions, etc) and the call routing (direct to a group, DDI, via voicemail pro) since you really need to be looking for any potential bottlenecks.

A very useful thing to do would simply be to run SSA. It will give you a good idea whether any aspect of the system is at risk of becoming overloaded.



Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.
