IP500 trunk daughter cards (stupid question) 2

Ok, this is a stupid question but...

We have only done one IP500 so far and that was before the IP500 trunk cards were available. In order to use one of the new IP500 trunk cards I assume you need a base card of some description. I know the answer is obvious but I have a quote here for 2x IPO 500's each with a DS30 module and no base cards. Our sales guy has also added an IP500 trunk daughter card for each but I don't think that's going to work....

It looks like we may need to recommend they have a couple of analogue extensions 'just in case'

Trunk cards fit on and NEED either Phone 2/Phone 8/DS 8/VCM 32/VCM 64

Any will do.

We usually stick a Phone 2 in for installs like you have. A couple of Alogs is always handy and it's the cheapest!!!

You have 2 choice, you add a phone 2 card and now you can install your daughter card on it. or you install a legacy card carrier with a ip400 atm4 card.

The phone 2 should be the cheapest simply beacause they will only have around 10 PRI channels at each office where as an IP400 card would have all 30 and a price to match!
