Hello everybody! I have (2) IP500 R4.2 system that I am going to network together with a point to point. They currently have the PtoP as a voice curcuit but because there is no caller id between the locations, I am going to change the curcuit to data and i have a couple Kentrox Q2200 routers to install. My question is does anybody have any documentation on how to set up the short codes and also the LAN routes/IPtrunks for this to work? Does Avaya have any tech pages on the subject? I do not know where to begin with this change. Any help would be wonderful!

Good documentation. One question though, I have been told that you do not need a SCN licence to do this type of calling between locations, but when I set it up the IP trunk under system status says "disabled no licence". What gives?

For iptrunks you need a scn license with an ip500 !!!
The 400 series doed not need the license but most of those are out of sale

happynova72, I'll save you some headscratching, nearly everything on the IP500 is licenced nowadays, even using certain handsets requires a licence. You're lucky they don't have a "powering up the unit" licence. Cr*p isn't it!!
