IP500 embedded voicemail - voicemail to email not working

Hi,

Really need help - customer has
IP500 Version 5.0.15 - working fine for 6 months,for no apparent reason, they stop receiving emails but they are still able to check voicemail on their their phones.

Voicemail to email is set using SMTP config/server, NO exchange.

* Port set to 25, tried changing to port 587 but doesn't help.
* Upgrade to Version 5.0.20 - no help

Any idea? Greatly appreciated.
 
probably your email account or something between your IPO and Internet.

try
Register:
Enter the following in the Manager > System > SMTP;

IP: 213.165.64.45
port: 587
email from address: you@gmx.com/us
server requires auth: ticked
user name; you@gmx.com/us
password; your password
use challenge response auth: unticked

Then on the User > Voicemail > Voicemail email
enter the "to" mail address.

Also if you goto System > Systems events > Alarms
Mail will be sent if you have any alarms on the software/lines....ect.
 
Try setting up alarms and see if they are sent, if they are I would recommend recreating the VM card, if the alarms are not sent then it would point to something not IP office related.

Yes - turn out port 25 is block by Qwest.

Change to port 26 and it works!. The port 587 didn't work, maybe Qwest also block port 587. Not sure though.
