IP500 with an ISDN30 currently in place and switching out for ISDN2 lines from BT.

for cost reasons they have decided to go with 2 ISDN2 lines

we have removed the t1 board and installed a 2 port BRI card in its place

the 2 port BRI card is seen in the config and viewed as lines 1 & 2

the BRI card is installed in slot 01 ( ports 09-10 on the IP500 )

set for ETSI and have tried default value 0 and 127

seeing the lines as in-service ( viewed within system status in that they no longer show as out-of-service )

pretty green with ISDN2 and IP Office

BT has passed off a NT connector

going to reach out to the provider and asked how they have the isdn2 lines setup to see if this will point me in the right direction ( more familiar with Avaya CM and BRI trunking )

when calling outbound I hear ringing and then a " waiting-for-line " on the screen appears -

cheers !

With BT ISDN2 the settings the card starts with are what's required, I have never needed to change them, ever. Only thing you may wish to change is to put the clock quality for the second circuit to fallback but that's it :)

Indeed, ISDN2 is so easy.
The only changes are prefix, and clock

The TIE value needs to be 0 when it is a group of ISDN2 when it is only one ISDN then it can be 127.
But as it is a pool then it is always 0

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

default the unit with the card in and re-do the config.

You can copy and paste 99% of it between two open copies of Manager (7 and above)
