Can anyone tell me if the ip500 will support the 3810 wireless sets? The ip 500 sees it as a transtalk 9040 which is analog. The 3810 is digital. Sometimes on the display of the 3810 it will say something like this equipment is barred. When I look in system status (I believe that is what it is called) it says not supported. Any suggestions? Thanks....Jon

This is what tech bulletin 80 says

2.6 Avaya IP Office Telephone Support
IP Office release 4.0 will remove support for certain models of telephones. No longer supporting a phone does not necessarily mean that its use is explicitly prohibited or that code supporting the telephone has been removed, but no longer supporting a phone means it has not been tested and reported bugs will no longer be resolved.

IP Office 4.0 will support the following telephone sets (pending regional availability):
• 2400/5400 series digital phones
• 4600/5600 series IP phones
• 4406, 4412, 4424D+ sets (to provide MERLIN MAGIX migration)
• 6400 series sets (no longer sold new)
• T3 IP and T3 digital (not supported on IP Office Small Office Edition)
• 3701/3711 (IP DECT)
• 3616/3620/3626 (WiFi)
• 3810 (900MHz)
• Analog phones
• Associated DSS units (e.g. EU24)

IP Office 4.0 will NOT support the following sets:
• 20xx (INDeX DT)
• 20DT Analog Kirk DECT (unless IP DECT GAP)
• 4606, 4612, 4624
• TransTalk 9040

The 3810 is supported on the IP500's internal DS cards with 4.0.6 (Q2 maintenance release). Just wait a week and you'll have it.

Wait a week, is the Avaya time the same as Microsoft as in sometime in july?? wasn't it meant to be out on the 17th June??

You wouldn't have been happy if it would have been released the 17th :)

It's in the TB for 4.0.7 as supported.

It was meant to be out on the 31st May if we are going to be pedantic about it.

I know this because that was my bday.

It's out now and apparently called 4.0.7 not 4.0.6. Maybe they thought it would be confused for the IP406 so they changed it.
