i have seen that the ip406v2 has the following
The IP406 V2 Office 0T + 2A + 8DS Office base unit is 19" rack mountable and supports as standard-
• 8 x DS Extensions
• 2 Analogue Extensions (CLI)
• 8 port 10/100Mbs Ethernet Switch
• 1 x X.21/V35 WAN port
• 9-way DTE Serial Port
• Expandable by 6 Expansion Modules

but all the pictures of the front only show the 8 lan ports and not the 8xDS and 2xAnalog, are the web sites i have seen it on showing v1 units, or dont these ports appear on the front of the V2

Check the 3.0 documentation cd and go to the Picture Library > Component Photos, there you find the picture of the 406v2.

...but to answer your question the pictures you have been looking at are of v1 units.

As suggested by intrigant check out the photos of the v2 on the R3 docs CD, you will see that it looks similiar to a 403 now, with a memory card slot.
