IP406 - Second subnet for SIP Trunks

Hi guys, I've founded alot of info on your forum without asking but at this time, I'm really confused...

I have a customer with about 100 users with 3 IP Office in SCN (VPN with Cisco RV042).

Their main office got a IPO500 and the 2 others have a IP406. I've set the main office well because the IPO500 has 2 LAN Cards on it.
LAN1 is for my VPN and LAN2 are for my SIP Lines only. This works really good...

But now, my customer has decided to upgrades their 2 others site with SIP lines. (that they got OLD OLD ip406 -____- )

My bug is, I use my LAN port on my 406 for my VPN and my SIP provider authenticate his lines by ip adress (172.22.30.xx) but I cant change ip adress of my IP406 (vpn issue, etc etc). I have 2 ISP, one for my VPN, one for my SIP.

I know that the RV042 has dual wan, but I can't figured out how to configre it. If I do a static route to my PBX, my incoming packets will go to the PBX, but the outgoing packets won't take the second WAN ???

I cannot change RV042, I cannot change my PBX private adress, but I need this working asap

What can I do ?

What software version in the 406 running?

You can check on System > LAN1 if tickbox 'use port 8 as LAN2' is available. By that you can use a second LAN, same as on the IPO500.

By the way I'm running on version 5 and when the checkbox is thicked, the row LAN2 is there.

By the way, I'm supprised of my IP406 on v5... thats works great!!

The 406 always has been a good box but the software later on was just too heavy.
Then IP500 came and this was also a very nice solution with replaceable cards without opening the chassis.

One time I received a brand new IP 406v2 with a warranty seal over the cover..


Very nice, when you want to open the chassis to place a trunk card your warranty is void..
