One on of my 406's I am using 4 expansion ports. Port 2 has a digi that hosts most of the users. Within the last 24 hours ports 1 and 2 and going off and it takes alot of rebooting to get the ports to light back up. When the expansion port turns off the phones still show users on the phone but of course no dial tone. Anyone heard of the ports being intermittent? This 406 is over 3 years old, if I replaced it with a v2 is there a lot of reprogramming??

Thanks.

sounds like a bad 406, but you can try moving the DS modules around to see if the issue follows the module, if it stays on the port then replace the 406.

Moving the config is easy, just make sure you backup the current config, then replace the unit. You will have to upgrade the new unit to your current release (or take it to the latest if you want, but remember VMPro, CCC and User applications have to upgrade also). You can then send the backed up config to the new unit and that should be it.

I put in the new 406 but now the VM isn't working just dead air. This 406 isn't the gateway, the other 406 has the licenses for VM etc. Everything is working except VM anyone know what I am missing?
