IP406 config on IP500

We have a customer that had an IP406 that got fried and all I have to replace it is an IP500. Is it possible to load the old config on the 500 and it work? 4.2.17

If the 500 has the correct ports to kind of match the 406 ( enough dig and analogue) then it will indeed load on, it will do a conversion when you send the config to the 500

Thanks for the info. It worked but some of the extensions were jumbled up because I didn't have the exact same setup on both systems. Also had an IP line that got deleted. other than that it worked well.

you're brain says to put the ds8 in slot 1 and the phone 2 in slot 2, but actually it wants them the other way round. that's why they jumble.

That is exacly what I did! I'm just glad that it worked so I didn't have to reprogram all of that crap! If I did my brain would have needed more than coffee!
