I have a customer running an IP406 version 4.1 with a Polycom Station2. They would like to be able to use the Polycom conference phone to conference another party on similar to the way they can with their 5410 phones. I have been unsucessful finding a way to do this.

Any suggestions to make this work.

Dial your first call. then press flash and dial the next call. then flash and next call. when you get all you calls dialed you pless flash and *47 and it will bring them together.

You use the flash key to get dial tone then dial the confrence shortcode on the ip office. (*47)
Then if you wish to add another user press the flash key again, dial the user or the external party when the user answers press flash and *47 again.

Double beeps confirm you are connected.

Sure this is how you do it off the top of my head.

Thanks, I swear I tried that on the customers site and it didn't work but when I quickly received 2 messages on this forum, I tried it in our office and it works fine!

Thanks kwing112000 and ProviderReborn! A star to both of you for the quick answer to my question.

Had the same issue on my system. One important thing, make sure you use the *47 at the end to connect.
Its very easy to end up with a whole bunch of calls on hold, with no way of hanging them up.
Unless of course someone out there, knows how to unhold calls on a polycom soundstation.

Whilst defeating the point of the polycom, we always try and put a digital phone near the polycom, this way setup the confrence on the digital phone and then bring the polycom into the confrence when you have all the users you need.

This way you can drop users and control it a little easier.

ProviderReborn - Although at first glance your solution sounds silly, there is some serious merit in it. I dropped a lot of money on a sexy polycom soundstation2, and people seem to have serious problems using it.

IPOllie - My customer already has meet me conferencing setup but they had a situaition where they had a conference call already setup with the Polycom a member of the conference. They wanted to contact a route driver and include him in the conference call so they could change his route.

They didn't want to call the driver, tell him to dial a number, ID and password while he was driving. They simply wanted to add him to the conference call. This makes a lot of sense from the customers view point. There is a "Conference" button on the Polycom but it does not operate as you would would expect.

However, I agree that most customers are best served by meet me type conferencing.
