IP406 & Inclement weather

Hi All,

Need to switch on the inclement weather greeting on my IP406 v2. Is there a short code on the telephone to turn this feature on? I'm pretty sure I have a greeting pre-recorded.

Indeed, unfortunatley shortcodes can be any length and any digit including * or # so there are hundreds or thousands of possible shortcodes depending on length. You need to look in Manager to see how it's programmed :)

Call your business partner who did the setup !
Thecode can be anything they feel like

Thanks Guys. I realise the value of a business partner but the people that put the system in have been out of business for two years so I as a small business owner have been learning the ropes as needed. I was just hoping there was a standard short code built into the IPO. My only experience with Avaya in the past was a Partner system and that had a short code.

Unforunately there are so many different ways if doing it and so no default shortcode, as for business partners most would be happy to take on a site for maintenance after a brief survey. Don't you have the Manager programme loaded anywhere onsite? Do you have a voicemail pc/server as it will often live on there :)

Tom, I'm from S. Wales but I live and work in the US and it looks like we're all having shitty weather at the moment!

I looked in Phone Manager as amriddle01 suggested and low and behold there was a "Set Weather" short code of *81. I entered that and the recording has changed to my inclement weather greeting.

Was not Phone Manager but Avaya IP Office R5 Manager and I found it under the short code listing.

Sorry for the confusion.
