ip403 to S8500, ip403 can call 8500, but not vice versa

When i call the s8500, it works fine.

when they call me, my phone rings but when i answer it soudns dead.

any idea? followed the ip 400 job aid

should h450 support be set to h450?

actually, let me clarify a bit more

this is only happening when calls over the ip trunks are answered by ip phones.


its like it cant convert the the 711 to 729 for the ip phones.

when someone calls in over the ip trunk to a digital phone, there are no issues
 
i tried changing the ip phones from automatic to ULAW64K so there is no conversion, same issue
 
Did you try to turn the direct ip-ip off ?
 
i did, and that resolved the problem!

only issue now.. user on S8500 see extensions and names, users on IP office only see "outside call"

Very weird because i can see some of the name information when i look at the monitor.

our 8500 doesnt have QSIG setup, is there any way to resolve this.

You see it captures her name [stefania delane] but this never shows up on my phone

I Had same problem then change the codec on the ip office to g711 worked a treat
