IP403 not seeing names/numbers over IP trunk to S8500

I have IP trunks between an IP403 and S8500. Everything works fine, except users on the IPO side just see "outside>" when placing or receving calls over the IP trunk.

Users on the S8500 side see the IP403 users names and extensions when calling inbound or outbound.

They are not integrated with QSIG since we dont have a license for it on the 8500 side, but the trunk works fine. Also, when running monitor i can see the extensions from the NY side in the logs, yet they dont get dislpaye don the phones!

It looks like this issue might be resolved in the new firmware, but it doesnt appear to support IP403. Do i need to go to a 406 so i can load the latest firmware and resolve this issue?

in looking further, this seems to only apply to ISDN trunks not ip trunks. When i specify the IP trunk it doesnt seem to save... i'm out of ideas!

Look at the last line (Calling Number & Name) NO-CPNumber
Joseph Delgag. Shouldnt his extension be showing up there?

You can use change public-unknown for ip trunks. Either format type in trunk-group is not public or call type in aar analys is not public.

format in the trunk group is public, call type in aar analysis is "aar", public is not an option

Have no more idea, but it works for me. Trunk group is ISDN with carrier medium h.323, and format is public and I can add that trunk group in public-unknown.

it let me add it, sorry.... it just still doesnt show the #'s in the list trace.. it shows " NO-CPNumber "

i the number part working, it was in change pub... now i'm greedy and would like to get the name as well.. the Definity side is definitely sending the name as it shows up in LIST TRACE TAC, but just getting the number on the IPO side

See if the name and number appears on Phone Manager.......

Not sure if this helps, but in S8500 trunk group, page 2, codeset to send display should be 0, default is 6.

the codeset to send was set to 6.. i changed it to 0, but it didnt change anything.

9012>sbuss is what i'm seeing on my phone on the IPO side. The calling name is clearly being received by IPO, i just dont know how to make it display!
