It is an old IP403, I don't even know the sw release (bin) it has installed, and after some commands on the Manager, the system crashed. Now the system keeps the front lights on the digital ports always on and the central led is always red.
I did DTE access and the commands AT, AT-X2 and AT-X3 returns OK, but AT-X4 and AT-DEBUG won't work at all.
Any suggestions?
thanks

first use AT
then at-debug ( no capitals)
then erasenvconfig
then eraseconfig
i am not sure that you can do this with a 403 because it needs an AT-X4
it works on a 406 to erase the config

AT-X works too, but I cannot make the .bin transfer to work.
I will try again both suggestions and I let you know.
Thanks

it doesn't pull the .bin file
be sure you have the right manager installed
then look if you have the right bootp entry (ipadres mac adress 403 bin file)
also be sure that manager is running
open the tftp log and unplug the power of the 403
then power it up again
then if everything is alright it should pull the bin file
if not then try AT-X again

Check the FAQ area as this is discussed so many time that there has been written a good doc for it called DTE Maintenance....

Ok,
I managed to load the .bin file, using the correct MAC and IP Address following the maintenance DET manual.
It starts loading the file and it goes untill 80%, seen thru the TFTP Log on manager. I've tried different versions of .bin file (V1_99, V2_99, etc)
At 80% it shows the error message:
"date/time": sent 10%....
"date/time": sent 20%....
"date/time": sent 30%....
....
"date/time": sent 80%....
"date/time": Unable to send c:\..\manager\IP403V2_99\ip403.bin.... sent 1966080 of 2243084

Any suggestions?

3.2.99 is not the right bin file
this bin file is only to upgrade from 3.1 to 3.2
better use the 3.1.65 bin file

I did it right now. I used 1.99 bin file.
I upgraded it to 2.99 now.
What is the best release in your opinion?
3.2?
Thanks
