Hi,

i am having a problem here in which i cannot access the E1 trunk from my AX controller

i have three controllers connected via IP/XNET all running MCD 4.2

2 MXE controllers (1 master and one resillient)
1 AX controller

i configured the E1 trunk on the master MXE, phones are working good between the MXE and the Ax, but i cannot access an outside line via the Ax.

i will be glade to be adviced on the configuration am supposed to do

thanks in advance

what leading digit (A) are you using on the MXe (Master)to access outside trunks (E1)?

Make sure that your AX sends (A) to the MXe in front of every string that you attemp to send over the E1.

Let's say you use 9 on the MXe to make outside calls,on the MXe you would dial 9-17862457815. Your Digit Mod. on the MXe will remove your acces number 9 and send 17862457815 to the Central Office.

Now on the AX, you would dial the same 9-17862457816 but your Digit Mod. will not absorb the first digit (9). This way your AX will send the complete 917862457815 to the MXe and the MXe will know what to do.

Check your COR on both the AX and the MXe. Do a DGT trace on the AX to see what it's doing.

Use CCS Trace comand on both controllers to see how far the call gets.

Good luck, regards,

Daniel

Thanks for your advice

a question poping before i go to the site to check what u adviced me.....

so i ve to assign another xnet trunk group for the E1 rather than the one used for ip to ip communication

what about the voice medium am going to use

is it ip-tdm or tdm-isdn

am pretty confused on how to setup both the ICP/PBX and the XNET ICP/PBX forms for such communication

a step by step lead will be appreciated if you dont mind please

If ip trunks are working then ur ip xnet forms are correct. This is more likley a dialling issue as Dan states. Follow his instructions and post back

i found out that there is two problems, one stated by danramirez thank you for your help. and the other one is concerning the COR as i ve assigned a COR for the trunk attribute in the AX that doesnot allow out going calls through the E1

thank you both danramirez and bobcheese for your support

Kawkab,

I'm glad you could identified where the problem was.

Regards,

Daniel
