I have an installation with site A and Site B. Each site has its own Micollab and MBG server, they would like to setup 3 digit dialing between the 2 sites. I have read that I can not have more than one Micollab in a cluster. So is it possible to setup direct IP trunking with out joining the remote site to my existing cluster?

IP trunking with out joining default cluster

yep! you can have as many IP trunks you'd like without nodes joining the cluster.
create the nodes in network elements (do not select the part of cluster), then program your ip trinking.
