Can auto negociate be turned off on the VGMC trunk card. 3.01 on a succession 3.0 PBX. No Sig Server, just using the IPT card.

FYI: The auto negociate causes crc errors on our WWP 310 equipment and bandwidth goes in the toilet if not turned off. I'm trying to set the VGMC card tlan to 100 Full/no auto negociation. I tried to use tlanSpeedSet 100 but it wants tlanSpeedSet 10100.

Any Idea's???

I read some of the other posts on the subject of Tlan but didn't get a clear answer or understanding.???

I'm pluggin the IPT tlan in to a WWP 310 port configured as a VLan untagged at both ends and it is a Layer 2 device.

From the other post on TLan, how does nortel recomend config of the layout I have?

yes you can, it isnt recomended. you need to log onto the itg card. do you need the command set to complete this

Yes I would like to know what the commands are to do this. I tried the tlanSpeedSet 100 and got an error. Is that the command you were thinging of?

Thx,

No I didn't have the card disabled. What is the proper card state to make this change work? The card is up and working as we speak and I can change it to 10Mbps while it is active but not to 100Mbx only. It won't take the change when I try 100 only. Its seems to want "tlanSpeedSet 10100" not "tlanSpeedSet 100", any ideas?

Ok I've had to roll out the big guns (i looked in my Nortel IPT expert guide) this is what it said

A.2.57 tlanSpeedSet: not available on SMC

Safety level: Debug,potentially destructive

You can either set it at 10m or 10100 auto neg. you used to be able to set it on the older ITG card but not the new
