A dhcp client from another network is now at a new network and logs on. The pc will not release the previous dhcp address. When the user logs on does the request go out of the router as a directed or broadcast request.
We're not using ip forward on the router. If we add an IP helper address to the router and ip traffic gets through by default is the type of traffic configurable? Can we turn off ip directed traffic using the 'no ip directed-broadcast traffic' statement?
