I am working on it now.

I have completed the CIPT 3.2 book, but the current test is V3.1. (waiting on Cisco, to catch up with themselves)

I have already started on the CVOICE section, while I wait.

*******
I manage a two node CCM cluster with 25 remote locations, all running 2651 routers and 3524 powered swithces. Our core consists of two 6509 switches and a 7206VXR router.

We are on CCM 3.22C SP-F, with Unity, and will be installing IPCC in Feb.

I have two years of production experience on the CCM platform, started with CCM 3.0(8) so I am trying to pickup some of the "test" stuff that you do not see everyday.

Since this is a relatively new cert, I have not found many people working on it.

What's you status?

Anyone else out there working on this?

bythespy,

I am currently work for a large MSO as a Network engineer. We plan to launch VoIP at the beginning of 2006 and hire a VOIP engineer. Needless to say, I am very interested in this technology and the upcoming job position. Any words of wisdom you can bestow upon me would be greatly appreciated....

I have no VoIP experience, but I am a well-seasoned Network Engineer with a very high aptitude for learning. Can you recommend any books that I should read? Also, any miscellaneous advice would be greatly appreciated....

Hi,

I would set up a home lab with 2 callmanagers and play with them. You can load callmanager on a generic PC and get couple of phones. If you need help with setting up the callmanager you can check this site. It has a lot of info on that topic. I have one running at home and you can learn a lot this way. I wouldn't spend a lot of time reading books. You need to do it.
