IP Speaker

3300 MXe MCD4.2 - can I connect IP speakers directly to a data switch then assign the IP speakers an extension number, create a page group and then place the ext numbers of the IP speakers within that page group? What type of device would I program the speakers as? Not sure if I can do it this way.

I don't know for sure, but from looking around at compatible equipment and such, it looks like a lot of non-Mitel equipment is configured with it's own specific COS for options and it's configured as a SIP device.

Yes benbria blazecast is a Mitel supported ( and sold ) product and has a number of IP based speakers.
