IP Softphone under Windows XP

I´m trying to use Ip Softphone under Windows XP but it returns me a problem:
Avaya IP softphone cannot be started. Please contact your system administrator. (0x80000043)

I´m with a Administrator profile.
Is there any way to use this software under XP?

This could be a problem with your system's Audiocodecs. Try to change XP's Audio-codecs properties. Sometimes in WIN2K and XP Softphone's codecs cause conflicts.

Thanx for your response...
I already have Ip Softphone installed in XP. You have to run the installation and the program after the installation in WIN2K mode compatibility.
