IP softphone compatible with Cell Phone?

I've heard of people running Avaya IP Softphone on cell phones? Does anybody have any documentation that supports this and shows which cell phones and what requirements are needed to run this?

Avaya has the One-X application that runs on the Nokia phones 6680 and E60 (probably more), it is used as an EC500 application to have more office like functions on the cellphone.

speaking of the One-X Mobile Edition, are there any US Providers that support any of these Nokia phones?

There is also a soft phone application that runs on PDAs running windows CE and having and 802.11 connection.
