I have problem with using tunneling type IP Sec (Encryption DES) for which, according to documentation additional licenses are not required. I am trying to connect two IP Offices 403 (R 2.1) using IP Sec (it is working with L2TP:)). But after creating IP Sec section it does not show it in IP Route Destination filed. (One IPO is on 10.1.1.1 and another is on 10.1.2.1 address, and between them is PC with two LAN cards acting as router, ping from one to another network is OK).
Does anybody know what the problem is?

Thanks in advance!

Zagi.

What licences do you have? I'm pretty sure you do require a licence for IPSec...

Peter

I do not have any such licenc, but whay you think that some is needed? In Help from Manager say:
Encryption: Default = DES
Select the encryption method used by the tunnel. The options are: DES CBC, 3DES or Any. Note: Use of 3DES requires entry of an IP Office licence.

I try use just DES not 3DES.

I think you will find you need the following licence (first number is SAP material code)

182301 IP400 IPSec VPN RFA Enables IP Office and Small Office Edition to initiate and terminate L2TP and IPSec tunnels

Peter

Still I have doubt regarding mentioned licence, because without it I could use L2TP tunel but having problem with IPSec.

Best regards,

Zagi

In IPO 2.1 Manager documentation it says IPsec needs a licence to work ... nothing is mentioned about L2TP licence...
