Hi,
I have cisco 801 with 1 BRI and another Ethernet inreface.
I have disabled the BRI interface.
Ethernet0 has 2 ip address:
192.168.0.50
192.168.3.50 secondery
How do I set the static route to connect the two subnets?
I can't make the route route packets from one subnet to the other.
Thanks in advance,Doron

Doron,
check your pc's and make sure they are set up correctly (subnet mask, and default gateway). You don't have to set any routing on the router if all you want to do is ping from host 192.168.0.x --> 192.168.3.x that is because the routes are already in your routing table as (connected).

post a copy of the "show ip route" and specificy who is pinging who.

also, I assume you don't have any access-llist configured or policy maps set up do you?

thanks,
Lee

The subnets are directly connected so you don't need to define a route.

You did not mentioned completely your environment - first your have to draw a little sketch of your environment and then you decide from where to where you wanna go!!

I belive you need to define static route on your server or pc.

I hope that you understand it well!

Best of luck!

Lie everyone else is saying since itls directly connected you do not need a static route on the router. Verify your PC's config's. IP address, sub mask, gateway.....
