IP Raw printing over a pix to pix vpn tunnel 2

Hello all,
I have set up a vpn tunnel between 2 sites and it is up and running enough for the computers at remote site to connect to servers at host site. I tried to set up the printer as a local printer on the server at host site using a tcp/ip port that points to the local address of the printer at the remote site. I guess my question is this: Is there any special configuration that needs to be done on the PIXes for that to work or should it work once the tunnel is up? Thanks

When you setup the PIX there is an access list that defines the "interesting" traffic that is supposed to be encrypted and sent over that tunnel. As long at that IP address (and port if you are using extended access lists) of that remote machine is in the access list for the tunnel, it should work. We print through tunnels all time.

if ur vpn tunnel is a site-to-site (network to network), most probably you've already configured the whole network as the "interesting" traffic, and as long as the printer is treated as one host within the remote network, there should be any problem.

Thanks all, Still having trouble though. Here is are the cleaned up configs of the host and remote pix's. I can ping from a machine on the hostnet to a machine that has an established ica or rdp session on the remotenet. From the host pix I cannot ping anything on the remotenet. The printer had the it's default gateway set to it's own ip address, I changed that and it made no difference. So here goes.

So there it is. I really apprecaite the help on this. This is my first realworld experience with cisco vpn.

Ok so after further investigation it appears that I have wasted my time and yours. The problem was that the printer needed to be powercycled after the changes were made to it's config. Thanks to all for the help though. Hopefully this experience will be of some use to someone in the future. The printer is a hp laserjet 1300n.
