Any ideas as to why our IP phones reset the volume back to default instead of what we set it to?

Dave

Sorry should have said it restes after every call.

Nimans 0870 444 3102 do a device with a sensor which detects the ring and flashes a light and sounder. circa £21.oo

I believe that it is by design. It may have been changed in one of the software updates a while back.

It's the speaker volume that resets and the agents have to manually adjust for each call. We are using rel 9.5

I thought it may be something to do with using the avaya power supplies, have you tried powering them off a cisco router?

Adjust the volume when the phone is hung up. If you adjust the volume during a call it takes effect for that call only. If you adjust the volume when the phone is on hook, it takes effect as the default.

Try to "change termin 6400" then set Voice "retain handset and speaker between calls" this is work in my IP Phone.I am use R10 version..
