Hello again all,
Wondering if anyone else has come across this recently.
We have a client with a NS700 and 42 IP extension licenses, and the 4 built in bringing us to a total of 46.
They currently have 26 IP phones connected to the system, which in theory should leave 20 licenses available.
They do have a bunch of other IP phones that are registered to the system, but with COVID, a lot of staff are working from home and don't need their IP phones.
Now, when we try to bring up a new phone, or even a previously registered phone, we are getting blank screens, similar to when you run out of licenses. But again, there should be 20 "free" licenses. According to Panasonic, a phone that is not connected should not be taking up a license. So to experiment, I de-registered about 6 phones that were not being used by anyone, and sure enough some other phones came up.
Has anyone come across this before, unplugged IP phones retaining their hold over the licenses? Is this a system issue?
