does anyone know how to take a registered IP phone and change it to local mode? i've never done this beofre.

what version of meridian are you on, as with the succession, phones only go into local mode when the call server is unavailable/ down

Remember if it doesn't work hit it harder

thanks, but that's not it. i want to be in local mode and still be plugged in.

why do you want it in local mode

Remember if it doesn't work hit it harder

On my phone there is a services button. when i push that and arrow down I can put the phone in local mode for testing.

thanks to johnpoole and phones1, but on this one, Nortellian's the man.........!!

better try next time boys.

Local mode is for a Branch Office system. You will not be able to be in local mode until IP connection to Main office is up. 2 ways to do it: change the MOTN prompt to a false value or unplug connection to Main office
