IPO 3.1 with a remote location with one IP 4610Sw phone. The phone has a display and buttons do work when pressed but no tone when speaker button is pushed or handset lifted. If you call the DID number corresponding to the extension it rings and connection is made but no audio. Ports opened on the routers are 49152 to 53246. Each router is on its own subnet. Any suggestions, the phone connects to the IPO fine.

There are more ports to be opened than that, this can be confirmed by testing that audio is present when local to the IP Office :)

Ok how would I go about testing that?

You do have a VPN between the 2 sites don't you?

Take Care

Matt
I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

Indeed - I was going to ask how you are connecting these?

If its a VPN then no firewall ports need opening. If VPN whats the router / firewall (s)

Yes, VPN setup between two adtran netvanta 2054's. VPN works fine just no dial tone on the phone

so no packet inspection of H323 across the VPN going on?

im not familiar with your devices, but thats where you might want to look at.
