IP Phone w/ 2.3 FW still not working

Just updated a 4620SW to firmware 2.3 on a G3r v11, and we still get "Wrong Set Type" when we try to login. Version 2.3 specifically states that it fixes the "wrong set type" defect.

Does anyone have a clue about this one? I did verify that the extension was entered into the switch properly. I just don't know what to do about these non-working phones!!

If so, I tried that. It won't downgrade... unless I'm doing something wrong. It connects to the TFTP server, looks at 46xxsettings.txt & *.scr, but then nothing. It goes through its regular boot process, and I still get "wrong set type." I have 4620SW phones with FW 1.8.1, and they are fine. Any phones with FW 2.0+ get's "wrong set type" every time.
