IP Phone status?

Hello,
Is there a way to check status of a phone (particularly forwarding status) remotely? (IP Office 401)
My user keeps complaining that people leave messages on her line when she forwards her phone to the operator (Definity G3si v.12)
I'm starting to have doubts that she always forwards her phone, but not being phisicaly there cannot prove it.

Manager will show if forwarding is active and to what number :)

Also even if forwarded it can still be put to her voicemail depending on timers etc :)

Is SSA - system status application? I don't think I have it.
Second question about timers and the possibility of calls go to v/w on forwarding - how can I check those timers?

I think that's what they have where it's being forwarded too Jamie, this site is a 401 according to the poster :)

That is correct, amriddle01. I am having problem with IPO 401 which is connected to Definity via p2p.
 
My bad!! missed that!!

Is it a 401 or a small office edition?

What firmware is it on.

System status is only on IPO's on 4.0 and beyond. pre that, Call Status will show you what is happening at a particular moment in time.

Also, on newer versions Phone Manager speed dials give forwarding information. Softconsole does too.

I am not an IP Office person (more Definity), it just was dumped on me and I am trying to figure it out. Any help will be appreciated.

Old School!!!!

Try diverting it and see what happens. You can start Call Status to watch the call progress.

How is she diverting?? Does she have it pre-programmed???

Is she diverting to the DDI of the Definity extn or do you have an IP link between the 2?

Yes, she has preprogrammed button "ForwardUnconditionalOn" and it set to go to the main operator's ext. The whole office is using UDP ext. from Definity.
The setup is this: G3si <-> NIU <-> T1(p2p) <->NIU <->IPO403 -UDP extentions.
Does this make sense?
I started call status and watched the call. Today it rings one ring and goes to the operator - like it should be; yesterday it was ringing four times, than silence for about four sec., and than v/m. But it didn't always do that yesterday, sometimes it went to the operator.
I will try to re-create this while watching CallStatus. (Right now I have nothing to compare it to)
I am not sure what DDI is. Maybe DID?
 
The problem will be with the network I imagine, the IP Office will see that the line going to the Definity is not available for whatever reason and so it isn't forwarding, also the fact programming doesn't change itself would also indicate it is something outside the IP Office :)

Along that line I would check the port speed settings on the switch the IP Office is connected to, the 403 runs on 100 half, if the switch port is set to auto-negotiate or 100 full that will cause issues like this :)

Also if they are out of spare VCM channels at the time this will also happen :)
