Any quick setup advice to connect 4 Nortel IP phones to a BCM 50? I am new to the Nortel equipment and am about to be thrown in at the deep end.
Thankyou
Jon

Two pieces of quick advice - read the documentation and make sure that your BCM 50 is patched current.

There are too many variables to give an answer since you can use DHCP or Static routes. If using VoIP trunks as well, codecs and payloads much match, etc.

However, to make things easier than having to read the Network Config and Device config guides, try using the "task based guide", specifically "IP Telephony" and search on "sets". These explain how to configure the BCM50 and the sets themselves in a single doc. They also explain VoIP config if you are adding VoIP trunks as well.

This should make thing go more smoothly for you.

Hope these help you out...
