I have an IP500V2 on 6.1.5 and everytime I make a change and merge the config the phone reboots. Is there a way to stop this? I'm sure it has to be something simple I'm missing.

You are missing the comedy of first release of new firmware.

Try to close the system status when you do a merge. Also i guess your manager pc is behind the IP phone?

Seen some of this in ealier versions, mostly on larger changes.

SSA wasn't open. Yes the phone is working fine but it reboots everytime I make a change and merge the config. I only have one 4610 hooked up for testing. Ill be back at the office in the morning and I can do some more testing.

It's either a bug or you keep your config open after sending it to the IPOffice.
If your IP-extensionnr was 'autocreated' after getting the first config from the IPOffice every merge you'll send back a config without this IPExtension. So the phone reboots and gets autocreated again.

Well that was it! I do have manager set so that it won't close after a save. I wouldn't have thought that was the problem but I guess it would have fixed itself..... when I closed manager. Thanks for the Help!

The problem is the config you have kept open doesn't contain the changes you have made so every time you make a change and send it back you are undoing the last changes made. You need to leave it close after a change and open an up to date one every time, I have had many customers doing this and it always causes issues :)

Yeah that makes sense. I'll keep that in mind so I don't have problems again. I really do appreciate all of the help that people give on this forum!
