HELLO,

I had a vendor in recently and noticed he had cahnged the TN on a 12002 set by pushing a sequence of keys, we are on a 1000E 4.5. any info would be great.

Thanks

Are you sure he changed the TN from the IP phone?
He can reset the phone by pushing a sequence of keys!

After reseting the phone can you then change the TN

The only place I know to change the TN of a set is on the Call Server itself in ld 11.

The sequence of keys is:

mute, up, down, up, down, up, mute, 9, rls.

This resets the phone. Then wait for the tn prompt to display and then change the tn that you wish the phone to use.

That's it.

If you reset and log into the phone, you can also put in the tnb and IP.

He just changed the tn that the phone is pointed at, he didn.t do any programming changes.

The IP Phone can be changed locally to point to any configured node/TN. There are "installer" and "temporary installer" passwords which also come into play on whether or not this can be done.

Thanks eveyone, I knew i wasn 't seeing things.
