I can program a pause on a 3900 set in the personal directory. When the pause hits I hear the 1/2 second ticks.
When I do the same thing on an I2000 / 1100 series set is progams in but doesn't intiate. It just sits waiting for response when dialed.
I can however on a 2050 go into local directory and create a new contact - enter commas where I want the pause's and it works.
Is this something that needs pathched on the sig serv 4.5 and the 81c 4.5? We recently installed the sigserv at the end of July:
Specs of sig serv.

Type Nortel Communication Server 1000M Multi Group 060E
Version 3021
Release 450W

Check what version of software you are running on your Sig Server....there was a problem with this a while back...perhaps you loaded the Sig Server with an old disk or one that came from the factory. You should ensure you are running all the latest build of software for the signaling server.

Any other info I need to provide - what do you think?

TOVERBO - side note but the firmware you are using for your IP Phones is WAY out-of-date. You should be using the "Refresh Currency File" mechanism in Element Manager to get the latest version.

I did a refresh - uploaded currency file. Can I upload and implement w/o disrupting service to users?

You can distribute without service disruption, but to actually upgrade the set FW requires a reboot of the phone.

Also the deplist I have for my SigSvr has 111 files in it. My VGMC deplist has about 30 files in it. You might want to obtain and install the latest deplist for both and see if that resolves your issue.

What is the best proceedure to re-boot all the phones?
Thanks for info on the dep list. I will see if I can get that from my rep.

Read your IP Phones NTP. You can use the LD 117 RST (and variations thereof) command to remotely force a hard reset of the IP Phones.

if you have access to the phone press the following key sequence:

mute - up - down - up - down - up - mute - 9 - rls

That works on an i200x. Not sure aboue 11XX though.

Magna here is what I am trying to do :

6611pppp6532#

How would I encorporate your key sequence - are talking autodial or personal directory.
How would you layout out your key sequence and my number set?

My key sequence wil reboot the phone like you asked about, it has nothing to do with the pause issue.

In element manager you can run a ld 117 command to set a timed reset of your choice.
Or you can go to ld 117 on the switch to do this also. I set all ip sets to reset at midnight. Works great.
