we do have 2 IP phones in the main office that are working fine.

the phone system can see EXTN 216 trying to connect to the ip office, but wont come up????

has anyone had this problem before?

thanks for the help!!

Sounds like you need a route in the IP Office that points to the subnet the remote phone is on...if the remote VPN phone is on 192.168.2.x then you need to add a route in the IP Office:

IP Address: 192.168.2.0
IP Mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: <ip address of the FVS338>
Destination: LAN1 (assuming LAN1 is 192.168.1.30)

Make sure the bin is the proper version also. I've had similar issues on older versions. Installing newer firmware and assigning static addresses and using a virtual address was the only way I was able to see the pbx. I still think the problem was with the router though.

Also make sure your routes are proper in the ip office as mentioned before.
