IP phone Nortel 2050 and 800 numbers on a CS1000

Hello all,

I would need some help with getting 800 numbers working on my CS100 on Nortel 2050 phone.

When dialing an 800 number 9-1-800-xxx-xxxx the phone releases the line automatically

If I try an 800 number on any other type of phone 1140, 1120, 2004, 2002, etc on the same system it works fine

This seems to be isolated to only 800 numbers. 877, 866, 855, etc work fine on the 2050

Anyone have any ideas?

I would check the TGAR and NCOS first since you can block Toll Free via NARS/BARS. Our 2050's work the same as our 1140s and 3904s but only if your phone config standards match properly

The issue was the NCOS. I switched it from NCOS 7 to NCOS 5. But I have an other problem

This extension is hookup to a Komutel SIT app on a touchscreen desktop at the receptionist desk

I can not use NCOS 5 since this requires a password to call long distance.

It needs to be NCOS 7 since this has no password requirement, but 800 numbers do not work on NCOS 7

It there a way to change the behavior of NCOS 7 to allow 800 numbers? or is there something else that I can try?

I think you can adjust it in NARS and BARS, but I don't know exactly how right off the top of my head. Someone else that deals with NARS and BARS more should have a suggestion for you.

Look in ld 90 and compare how working 1888 numbers compare to non working 1800 numbers, then change the 1800 to match. My guess is they are different RLI's which lead to different RLI treatments in LD 86, possibly the FRL setting. Changing the RLI in 90 is the way to solve this, if this is the case.
