hi, we have a uc520 using cme and the problem is some 7960 phones cannot get the load file from the tftp server (the uc520). the phones are connected to poe switches. I've tried plugs the phone directly to the uc520 but still no luck. the phone just going through the "ip configuration" cycle.

thanks,

Are all the ports on the switch programmed correctly?

Have you tried swapping ports with a none good one?

Post a config of the UC520 so we can review.

I have tried switching ports and those ports are configure right. I know that because the phones that are working will get that "loads file" when unplug and re-plugs.

the phones that aren't working have not been used for sometime.

the config file is about 400 pages, I don't think anyone would want to read them.

thanks,

no luck. try erase config and restore and nothing works.

it keep saying " no load specified"

i check the uc520 and the file is there.

why is the phone not picking up the file?

I'm not sure as to why this is happening.

1. the load is in the UC520

2. You have like phones working ok. Did the other phones get the load off the UC520 or another system?

3. Are you getting an ip address, tftp, and gateway to the phone?

If you verified all these parameters and all list in the above thread it may be time to call Cisco.
