IP Phone 9611G sound issue

Hi guys,

We have issues with 9611G phone. The sound is too low and garbled.

We have upgraded the firmware of the phone to 6.8202 and also the Avaya PBX firmware is on 11.



 
What type of calls? Internal, external?
If external, what interface? SIP, H323, ISDN, Analogue, etc?
Headset or handset?

No issues here on my 9611G handsets running 6.8304 including those with headsets (Jabra 925 with EHS adapter)
 
Calls affected are external and it is only the other party who experience this.

It is PRI and handset
 
Do I need to update the firmware of the phone again?

ive had this with 9608G on R11

ive rolled back the firmware to
# 9608SW
IF $HWVERS SEQ 3 GOTO 9608GBSW
SET RFSNAME S96x1_UKR_V27r20_V27r20.tar
SET APPNAME S9608_11HALBR6_6_4_01_V474.tar
GOTO GETSET

Rolling back the firmware is just remove the current version and then add the 9608SW and then reboot the phones?


 
Hi there.

I have done this too in the past, the version 11 software seems to have 6.8002 software in it, I upgraded the firmware to 6.8102 and it resolved the problem immediately

I do however see that there is newer software than 6.8102, but have not tried those.

The firmware is already upgrade to 6.8202 but the issue of low sound and garbled remain.
 
Guys, Have tested and it does not affect the caller. The only party that can hear the garbled sound is us not the caller.

Any suggestions?
