Hi, I have an IP Phone 2004 Model NTDU92. I am trying to configure the phone. When I apply power to the phone I strike the four soft keys to get into configuration. When I get into configuration, first setting that comes up is EAP Enable. I select 0 for no. The phone then restarts and that is as far as I get. I have 3 other phones that I got out of storage that do the same. Thanks for any help.

R u hitting apply after your selection? If so that's why it's reseting. u need to make all your changes before hitting the apply. Apply is the save button for all setting which causes a reset to save & apply the new settings.

Hi, No I am just hitting the OK softkey to save that one setting.

Softkey options are OK , BKSpace, Clear, Cancel.

F/W Version 0604D9F

Phone starts with F/W shown and Starting DHCP...

Thanks

Is there are differant way to configure this phone?

Thanks,

You could try resetting it.

With it powered up, press mute, up, down, up, down, up, mute, 9, Release
Then when it reboots, try running fingers along the 4 soft buttons, see if this gets you further in configuration menus

NCSS, NCDS, NCTS

Leave that EAP setting at its default setting (dont make any changes) then press OK to see if you get passed this stage.

As a side note, D9F is REALLY OLD as far as firmware is concerned. Have you patched your BCM to the latest SU in order to get more current firmware so that they will upgrade once you do get them connected?

Hi,

gwebster I believe you would have to set the phone up to connect with the BCM before it could download the firmware. This phone was not used on this same system prior and the IP address is different.

snowman50, when I pressed ok after not even changing the value the phone would restart and do the same as many time as you wanted it to.

option11newby, I didn't know there was a way to reset the phone. That worked. Thanks for all of your help.
