Hello

I'm making some changes to a customer's system. They would like separate customised queuing announcements depending on the huntgroup (four groups to play message1, two to play message2, one to play message3).

I've set up the queued entry points for each group in Voicemail Pro and pointed each one to the appropriate message, and have set 'Queuing On' per group in Manager (there seems to be no 'Announcement' tab on the level of software there).

And when all is done the system still plays the default announcement. I'm loading customised .wavs with all the correct parameters into VM Pro and have even tried using some random default files to check if those will play (they won't).

Please can anyone shed some light on this as I've hit the brick wall now.

IP Office 406 DS running 3.2 (53)
Voicemail Pro 3.2 (39)
Manager 5.2 (69)

Try it first with a generic action and an announcement recorded by phone.

Thanks for the reply :)

It's difficult as I only have remote access to the site today and don't want to bother the customers too much with busying out extentions and such, so I've just set up and extra touchtone on one of the menus and pointed it to a generic action using the custom wav file as the entry prompt. The prompt plays fine, which is encouraging as they've had it tailored professionally and I don't want to ask them to play it down a handset.

I'm a bit out of my league for the next part; how to then set the GA to transfer to the huntgroup and play that message as if in a queue if all exts are busy. In fact, if it could also play the message while the phone(s) in the group are ringing until one is answered, even better!

If you put a menu in a queue then it must be before you have the announcement.
If the announcement is played the caller is back in the queue again.

So you can not use the announcement as announcement but should be put in to a menu.

This is hard to program and needs some testing perhaps.

Sounds that way :(
I wonder why this won't work when I follow the Customizing (Queue Announcements/Queuing) section of VM Pro help files, is there some bug?

No idea, long time ago for 3.2
Try a new group in the ipo and vmpro and test it

3.2 no tick box or tab for announc....Queing On, tick box...in VM Pro goto Groups... ADD, paste gr. name, must be exactly the same...select Queued....brings up start point...as tlpeter said use generic or menu will work.....note...if the menu has options for the caller's to press, like..."continue to hold or press 1 to leave a msg" they won't work unless it's in the "still queued" entry.....should work for you.....

MW2 needs new Maps....ASAP
