IP Office with Windstream SIP Trunks 1

We have installed IP office with Windstream SIP for the first time. When we use the Static IP they gave us we get one way conversation. We had to set up an IP route in the IPO as
IP 0.0.0.0, SN 0.0.0.0, GW as the Windstream gate IP. This restricts our IP routes completely. We are running 8.1.43, Any ideas?

That should be IP 0.0.0.0, SN 0.0.0.0, GW as the router connecting to the web

Then try to build another route for the IP of the windstream provider IP address. i.e. "10.250.0.0"(whatever they give you for a ping able address to register) mask 0.0.0.0 windstream router IP address for the gateway LAN1.

The SIP is connected to LAN 2. You are saying to set up a route for the internet off of LAN1?

PLEASE call in an experienced business partner. your customer is simply going to loose faith in the IPO, SIP and you.

Your original configuration should not cause any unnecessary problems with your IP routing
if you have private addresses in your network then additional routes can easily be added

eg:
IP 192.168.0.0
sn 255.255.0.0
Gw <local router>

The IPO will always use the route that is the closest match.

+1 for HSM's suggestion though.

A Maintenance contract is essential, not a Luxury.
Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

Guys, I appreciate the help. We are actually the customer in this case and are working with our in house system to better understand so we are not doing this to a customer.
