How are you trying to do it? What version of Salesforce? Is it Lightning or classic? What level of integration are you looking to achieve?

You can use:
Avaya Communicator for Web
Avaya Call Reporting Multimedia screen pop on agent dashboard
UK UC Plus Software (Devconnect Partner) AUS CyDesk from CyTrack (DevConenct Partner) Many locations Imperium Apps (they have a Lightning connector)
Depending on the URI configuration the ICR can be completely ignored.

If your URI is configured to use internal data then the IP Office will look into the user's SIP tab and if you have *'s it will look into ICR.

Using a Unified communications module.
Problem is the virtual licenses are now left out, meaning I probably have to purchase preferred licensing.
