IP Office R11.0.0.4 Essential Edition with 3730 DECT Phones...

Customer had an IP Scheme change, so the IP Office and Base Stations had their IP Addresses changed, but once the change was made the 3730's wouldn't work unless the old IP Addresses were put back. The IP Addresses for the IPO, Master and Slave stations were changed, as well as the IP Address to the Master on each base station. I believe the problem lies in that the IP Trunk IP Address on the Master was still showing the old IP Office address instead of the new one, but the screen/window was grayed out and unavailable for changes. Is there something that needs to be clicked on/off in order to get this window to allow edits, or does the Master station need to be defaulted and then everything re-entered on it? I'm assuming it's something easy that was just missed. Anything else that should be checked besides the IP Trunk setting?

You need to update the Configuration-->DECT-->Trunks entry.

You also need to update the IP DECT line on the IPO to the new IP address of the master base station.

also make sure you update the master details on the actual master DECT-->Radio Tab.

Thanks for the reply. The IP DECT line on the IPO has been updated with the new IP Address of the Master already, and the master details on the actual master DECT -> Radio tab has been done. However, the Configuration -> DECT -> Trunks entry is still showing the old IP Office IP Address and needs to be changed, but it's grayed out. How do we remove the "grayed out" so we can update the address? I'm guessing it's a simple setting that's being missed to allow changes in that window?

Ive never seen it greyed out unfortunately. Considering it takes 10 minutes to configure one from scratch (not including handsets) I would probably be tempted to default it and quickly reconfigure it (just make sure you get all the phone details from the user screen first).

Thanks - that's exactly what I had suggested to the tech. We have all the info and it's so quick to set up that I figured we'd save time by just defaulting it. I was just looking to see if there was a simple explanation like not checking a box somewhere (such as showing Advanced Options on the Slave base stations).

It can be grayed out because it is set to use provisioning. So check if the provisioning URL has been changed as well.

Thanks, derfloh - I checked the copy of the config that I have, and "Enable Provisioning" isn't checked in the IPO config, which then grays everything out. My tech isn't onsite but I'm wondering if not having the "Enable Provisioning" box checked also grays out the IP DECT line window in the Master settings. If so, then checking the box would then allow me to make changes to the IP Address to the IPO in the Master base station settings, correct?

Ah, never used provisioning as it’s not compatible with the advanced charger.

Good to know, Pepp77 - thanks. The sites I have all have the basic chargers except for one, so I'll be sure to note this for that site.
