Hi,

I am trying to setup the DTMF Receptionist Breakout when a user presses 0 to take the user back to an Auto Atendent in VM Pro.

What I attempted to do was create a short code *87500 and set it to Auto Attendant - "AA:AA".

I then created a User named ForwardtoAA with extension 7205 that has unconditional forward set to forward to my short code above.

When I Dial 7205, it takes me to the general VM collect and asks me to enter my extension and password.

The Module name for the AA in VM pro is AA, and I also have a Auto Attendent setup in the Manager named AA.

What I am doing wrong?

Once I get extension 7205 working to dial into the AA, I plan on adding that extension to the DTMF 0 section of the users that need it.

Thanks in advanced.

what is your shortcode?

The telephone number needs to be "?AA"

I would ditch the * shortcode virtual user and try breaking straight to a shortcode like 888 or something that wont be dialed. not sure it would work though.

Try to create a SC

Code; *87500
Feat; AutoAttendant
Teln; AA:AA_Name

Don't use the ""

why have you built it in vmpro and in manager?

"There's a dog in the New Zealand section

Alternatively, On the Manager:
Create Short Code
Code: *87500
Feature: Voicemail Node
Telephone Number: *87500

Set the Recepionists '0' breakout number to be *87500

On The Voicemail Pro:
Create a Short Code
Code: *87500

Then Drag the Auto Attendant module into the *87500 short code and connect the Start to the Auto Attendant Module

Or use a combination of Tom's and TaureanDragon's if use use a short code like 888 then the breakout can point straight to the short code.

Create the shortcode

SC 888
Feat Voicemail Node
Tel No AA

If you ring 888 (or the breakout) it should route you back to the AA

Misread the thread, I thought that you had EVM.

Ok create a SC;

Code; *87500
Feat; Voicemailnode
Teln; "Shortcode name in VMPro"

In VMPro point the ShortCode to a Goto and select the Module name for the AA.

if you are not confused yet then I bet there are a few more suggestions out there that can help doing that :)
Let us know what you do and if it works.

Thanks guys.

I did it in a combination of everyone's advice.

Made a short code 278
Voicemail Node
278

Made a Short Code in VM PRO for 278 and pointed it to the AA module.

Set the DTFM on the User to 278 and it worked like a charm.

One more question. Can you set a DTMF break out for a hunt group VM message? Was thinking I might be able to do it in the VM PRO GUI.

Thanks again for your help.

Yes, add a menu before the leave mail action on the group in vmpro.

you can create a leave point for the huntgroup and point it to a menu that has 0 as a digit and send that to wherever you like it to go and send the timeout to record a message and send that to the mailbox
