Upgraded an IPO to v12.0 and now some 9608G phones are experiencing garbled voice (internal and external calls) with high packet loss of over 30%. Affected phones are all part #700505424MP. All 9608G's without the MP (700505424) are fine. The R #'s on the working sets are R14, R27, and R34. The affected sets all have 105 (No R like the 14, 27, and 34's.). Has anybody else experienced this?

The "MP" on the part number just stands for multi-pack, i.e. how those particular phones were sold. But beyond that they are just standard 9608G phones. If all the phones having the problem are on the same level of firmware that is different from any of the phones not having a problem then surely that's the first thing to look at.

We don't know what type of IP Office you have and what release you upgraded to 12.0 from so we're pretty much in the dark. My suspicion would be Opus codec but that's just a guess. Remove Opus from the codecs of a couple of the problem extensions and see what effect it has. Meanwhile, look at getting them onto the same firmware as the other 9600's.
