We installed the Avaya 5324-001 Universal Door Phone to our Avaya Analog 16 port module and are having problems with the phone not resetting properly after a call. We have to remove the power to reset the controller. I am not sure if there are any special settings either on the controller, phone or the IP Office (412) system.

There are various door phones which do not work correclty with the IP Office. I found this out through trial and error... and Avaya and Bogen being no help :(

I finally did find one that worked correctly and wonderfully off of an analog station port as basically a ring down station. It was the Viking E-10. Worked like a champ.

Apparently with other doorboxes there's an issue with the IP Office dropping voltage and the doorboxes aren't sure how to respond.

The Viking E-10 uses an analog station and will automatically answer any call sent to it. For the most part you can treat it like any other analog station.

Can you say who makes/supplies the Viking. A goggle search brings up the Norvick Centre in York!!
