I am running IP Office v3.1.56 on a 412. I have proper licensing for Phone Manager Pro and Softphone. I can connect my softphone and make calls but cannot answer calls. The Phone Manager ver is 3.1.15. Any help is appreciated. Also, does anyone have a configuration document for Softphone or Phone Manager?

Yes, I can make calls successfully and have two-way audio. I just cannot answer calls. The call shows and rings in the softphone, just cannot pick it up.

Are you using the MS firewall withing Win XP? If so, this may explain it. Requests coming from the PC are authorized to initiate a 2-way connection (as the PC is the one that started the activity in the first place). However, new requests from outside the PC would be blocked...

If you are using the firewall, try just disabling it for now to do your testing. If that fixes it, there's a BAT file that makes the appropriate setting changes to the MS Firewall, but lets confirm that first.

Hope this helps...

I am not using the Firewall in XP, it is set to Off.

Just to make sure, I have tried this from a seperate PC with the same result.

Are you running a Cisco Security Agent or anything like it on your pc? Also do you have "Offhook Station" Checked in the user's telephony tab?

I am not running any software like the Cisco Sec Agent. I do not have 'Offhook Station' checked, should I?

I tried the Offhook settting, no change.

Is your Softphone running on a Windows XP OS Service pack 2? If so, did you run the AvayaFW.bat file?

What is "cannot answer calls"? Is the call coming but you cannot answer it with the software? Do you answer and hear nothing? Do you answer and the call gets disconnected?

fonedoc, Yes i have applied the AvayaFW.bat. Additionally I have tried the software on Windows 2000.

siftach, I see the call in the Phone Manager but when I click Answer Call, or press Enter nothing happens. The call just continues to ring.

I'm experiencing exactly the same problem. Anyone a solution for this ?

BSMO,

I did find a solution. We are using a Sonicwall Firewall and it has a VOIP section. I disabled H323 and SIP translations and voila. Hope the helps.
