Hello everyone,

Just wondering if anyone's encountered an issue with the IP Office SoftConsole losing the IP Office directory? We have a customer with a receptionist license using the SoftConsole for answering and routing calls. Three days ago it was, and had been, working fine. Two days ago, it stopped seeing the company directory. There are no listings under the directory. The busy-lamp-field still behaves as I would expect. The users all have access to the directory via their phones. I'm stumped. I've run the Firewall batch file, de-selected and selected the IP Office directory source and logged in with different profiles/users. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You sure they haven't just deselected the directory option or left something in the search area that's narrowed the results down? :)

In the console click Tools and select Directories and check the settings.

The SoftConsole is rather ancient and gets the system directory using TFTP which is increasingly locked down these days. So check what other PC changes have occurred reccently.

At the extreme check the IP Office security settings. The TFTP Read option may have been disabled.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Thank you both for your suggestions. I will check into that immediately. In the meantime, what is the suggested replacement to the SoftConsole?

Please disregard my last post...I spoke before I checked. There is a post regarding a replacement for SoftConsole with One-X attendant. Regardless, any suggestions as to the directory issue is very welcome.

There is no replacement.
Check the security settings for tftp or check the firewall allowing the ports needed for softconsole.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!
